Somebody said you have to love what you do, but that’s not necessarily true. What is true is that you have to love the opportunity. The opportunity to build life, future, health, success and fortune. Knocking on someone’s door may not be something you love to do, but you love the opportunity of what might be behind that door.
For example, a guy says, “I’m digging ditches. Should I love digging ditches?” The answer is, “No, you don’t have to love digging ditches, but if it is your first entry onto the ladder of success, you say, ‘I’m glad somebody gave me the opportunity to dig ditches and I’m going to do it so well, I won’t be here long.’”

You can be inspired by having found something; even though you are making mistakes in the beginning and even though it is a little distasteful taking on a new discipline that you haven’t learned before. You don’t have to love it, you just have to learn to appreciate America, appreciate opportunity and appreciate the person who brought you the good news; that found you.

Appreciate the person who believed in you before you believed in yourself, appreciate the person who said, “Hey, if I can do it, you can do it.”

If you will embrace the disciplines associated with the new opportunity you will soon find that your self-confidence starts to grow, that you go from being a skeptic to being a believer. And soon when you go out person to person, talking to people, you will find it to be the most thrilling opportunity in the world. Every person you meet - what could it be? Unlimited! Maybe a friend for life. The next person could be an open door to retiring. The next person could be a colleague for years to come. It’s big time stuff. And sometimes in the beginning when we are just getting started we don’t always see how big it is.

So, before you are tempted to give up or get discouraged, remember all success is based on long term commitment, faith, discipline, attitude and a few stepping stones along the way. You might not like the stone you are on right now, but it’s sure to be one of the stones that lead to great opportunities in the future.

You must have heard by now how important it is that you set goals and aim high. Goal setting in life and in your intranet home business is the most important thing you can do for yourself, and can make all the difference in whether you succeed or fail.

There is a saying, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. This could be no further from the truth. Imagine waking up in the morning and having to go to work. There is obviously a plan that you must follow, a routine, if you will. For instance, you get out of bed, shower, get dressed, brush your teeth, comb your hair, have breakfast, and drive to work. That is your plan. If you didn’t have that plan, you would know what to do first and you possibly wouldn’t arrive at work.

The same is true when you have an Internet home business. In order for you to succeed, you have to base yourself on a routine and a plan that you have set. This will help you to stay in line, and step-by-step arrive at certain milestones. If you don’t have a plan, then you might be missing these milestones, but you wouldn’t know it.

Having said that, you wouldn’t be able to correct any mistakes you are making. That could be a very scary situation. It could lead you to be going in circles and never ever arriving at your destination. The bottom line is, your destination is it your goal.

Therefore, it is imperative that you take the time to work out your work schedule, and your goals. Just because you’re working for yourself doesn’t mean that you can take time off. Instead, you should be working harder than you would be for someone else, as it is for your own benefit.

Every day, you should be checking that you are completing the necessary tasks. Then, at the end of every week, you should be ensuring that you have reached all your goals that you had set. If you haven’t, then it’s time to tweak your goals and your schedule accordingly.

Ensure that these plans are written on paper. Don’t just have ideas in your mind, it will never work this way. When you see the various items in black and white, they will have more of an impact and will always be on your mind. Otherwise, you will forget them.

Of course, you can also opt for software that can be just as effective as paper, if not more. But, not all people function as well with technology and tend not refer to it as much as the latter. If this is your personality, then choose a paper and pen instead.

The important thing is to have these plans in a book, a folder or a binder that is dedicated to this subject only. Otherwise, it could get lost with other papers, notes and information that may or may not even be relative to your internet home business.

to fail.” It applies to many situations in life, including
starting a business. Launching your own business is such a
big, important project that it’s especially important for
you to have a plan. I encourage the people I work with to
begin with a 90-Day Action Plan. Your plan should be
specific to your interests, desires and objectives, so it’s
crucially important to formulate a plan that is tailored to
you and your goals. Your 90-Day Action Plan is the roadmap
to your success.

Tweak your roadmap after 90 days. Add your new business
goals. Having a carefully thought-out plan will surely aid
you in operating your business and boosting your
self-confidence. In business, you usually have to have more
than desire. Your business plan can help you form the
winning strategy that will see you through the inevitable
ups and downs of running a business.

Help writing a business plan

How do you actually create a business plan? Your business
plan needs to include the possibility of setbacks and have
enough flexibility to absorb inevitable business challenges.
If you plan for contingencies, you won’t be thrown for a
loop when problems occur. Business has always had cycles,
and smart planners expect them. You survivors know that the
cycle will bring better times again. You are prepared to
wait out the tough times and be ready to take advantage of
the good opportunities that will inevitably come.

During World War II a U.S. naval vessel was torpedoed and
sank. Tragically, many of the seamen were unable to survive
days of exposure in the open ocean. What astonished naval
investigators who studied the event were which sailors
survived.

Later the naval investigators determined that the older
sailors survived because they simply had more experience.
They knew how to live and overcome adversity and challenges.
They anticipated challenges and formulate plans to overcome
them. Your business plan gives you a similar ability to
overcome setbacks.

You would not try to drive around a new city without a map
and hope to arrive at your destination by luck. Any endeavor
that requires effort requires some planning to be
successful. If you have no business plan you will be
floundering around aimlessly. You will never reach your
goals.

A business plan will also help you make more money. In a
study of Harvard MBA graduates conducted in 1979,
interviewers asked graduates about their goals and found
some interesting results. A surprising 84% of grads had no
specific goals. These grads also had the lowest income
levels when compared to their peers.

When the researchers followed their success later in life,
the difference was striking. Those with no plan had the
lowest income of the three groups. Those with at least a
mental plan earned nearly twice as much as the larger group.
Most impressively, and most significant for our discussion,
is what they discovered about the 3% who had formulated
written goals. These 3% had ten times the income of the
other two groups combined. There is no way to overestimate
the value of having a written plan for your business

Having a business or marketing plan is a lot like having
written goals. I’m sure that if there were a study of
successful business people, it would find that the majority
of them had a business plan and that they followed that
plan. No matter how simple your business plan is it’s
important to have one. Not creating a plan is like
committing financial suicide.

Many people often do not get involved in multi level marketing because of all of the talk that it is just a scam. The truth is that there are scams within the industry. But, being realistically, they are in just about every industry out there. Before you join any business, you must do your homework. Research both the background of the company and their current financial condition and you can insure that you are joining one of the legitimate businesses within the industry.
